Why choose Connect Fibre?

Wi-Fi 7 router included

Every package comes with a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard. This helps your wireless network keep up with the fast full fibre speeds, particularly in homes with lots of connected devices.

Flat-price contracts

Several deals feature no mid-contract price rises. The price you sign up for remains the exact price you pay for the entire length of your agreement.

Flexible contract lengths

You can choose between 12-month and 24-month contracts. The 12-month options cost more per month but offer helpful flexibility if you do not want a long commitment.

Themed and coverage bundles

Instead of just selling on speed, they offer specific bundles aimed at gamers and families. They also sell Wall to Wall WiFi packages designed to guarantee coverage in larger homes.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Cambridgeshire, Connect Fibre operates as an independent regional altnet rather than reselling services on the national Connect Fibre's own network infrastructure. With backing from a January 2022 Foresight Group investment to fund network expansion, They focus on community-led full fibre rollouts, building dedicated local connections in specific towns and villages.

The main draw here is the hardware and the pricing structure. They include a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard across their range, which is unusual at this price point, since most providers still ship older Wi-Fi 6 equipment. They also offer genuine flat-price contracts with no mid-contract rises on several deals, alongside themed bundles aimed at gamers and families.

Because they build and run their own physical network, availability is strictly regional. You cannot get their service just anywhere in the UK. They only operate in specific towns and villages where they have actively laid fibre, so checking your postcode is essential before looking too closely at the packages.

Connect Fibre package types

Full Fibre 250

This 250Mbps tier provides comfortable headroom for typical family use. It suits households of three or more people running multiple devices, streaming in 4K, working from home, and playing online games simultaneously.

Full Fibre Wall to Wall Wifi Pro

This package delivers the same 250Mbps speed but focuses on enhanced whole-home coverage. It is aimed at larger properties with three or more bedrooms, or older homes with thick walls where a standard router struggles to reach every room.

Full Fibre 500

At 500Mbps, this tier handles heavy demand with ease. It works well for households with several heavy users running multiple 4K streams, downloading large game updates, and making video calls all at the same time.

Full Fibre 1000

This 1Gbps connection provides substantial capacity for very demanding homes. It suits households with multiple heavy users running 4K streams, large game downloads, and cloud collaboration tools simultaneously.

Full Fibre 2000

This 2Gbps tier is for specific use cases like content creators who need fast upload speeds for large video files, or gamers who want to download 100GB titles in minutes. Wired connections to primary devices like desktops and gaming PCs see the full benefit, while the included Wi-Fi 7 router helps deliver these speeds to newer compatible wireless devices.

Pricing sits firmly in the mid-range. Their entry-level Connect Fibre Full Fibre 250 - 24m package starts at 250Mbps for £25.00 a month on a 24-month contract. They do not cater to light users looking for a cheap sub-100Mbps connection. You can choose between 12-month and 24-month terms, though the shorter contracts cost noticeably more per month. Installation is free across the board.

The standout feature for many switchers is their stance on mid-contract price rises. Several packages are sold on a flat-price basis, meaning the price you agree to on day one is exactly what you pay for the full term. You do need to check the specific deal, as some of their faster tiers include introductory discounts that revert to a higher standard rate after the first 12 months.

Connect Fibre pros and cons

Pros

  • Trustpilot rating of 4.8 is one of the highest among all the providers we list, which is a strong endorsement from real customers
  • WiFi 7 router included as standard on every deal, with Wall to Wall WiFi bundles available for larger homes
  • Several packages have no mid-contract price rises at all, so you can lock in a flat monthly cost if you pick the right deal
  • Choice of 12 or 24 month contracts with speeds up to 2Gbps and free installation across the range
  • Themed bundles for gaming, families and whole home coverage give you tailored options beyond the standard speed tiers

Cons

  • Only available where Connect Fibre has built its own network, so coverage is limited to specific areas
  • Some deals include short introductory discounts that revert to a noticeably higher monthly rate, so always check the full contract cost
  • The range starts at 250Mbps with no lower speed option, which means there is no budget entry point for lighter users

How Connect Fibre compares

Connect Fibre vs BT. Connect Fibre offers a faster top speed of 2Gbps compared to 900Mbps from BT, and provides a shorter 12-month contract option next to BT’s standard 24-month terms. The Connect Fibre entry point is £25.00 for 250Mbps, whereas BT starts at a similar price point but for a much slower 36Mbps part-fibre connection. BT applies fixed price rises every March and belongs to the Ofcom Automatic Compensation Scheme, while Connect Fibre offers flat-price options and is not part of the compensation scheme.

Connect Fibre vs Sky. Sky reaches a higher top speed of 5Gbps against the 2Gbps maximum from Connect Fibre, and offers a cheaper entry price for its 150Mbps tier. You can get a 12-month contract with Connect Fibre, while Sky only offers 24-month commitments. Sky contracts include unspecified mid-contract rises with exit rights, whereas Connect Fibre sells flat-price deals with no mid-contract rises.

Connect Fibre vs Plusnet. Plusnet is a national Openreach provider with fixed pounds-and-pence price rises scheduled every March, while Connect Fibre is limited to its own regional footprint but offers flat-price contracts. Connect Fibre goes up to 2Gbps, doubling the 900Mbps top speed available from Plusnet. Plusnet has a cheaper entry price for its 74Mbps package, but Connect Fibre gives you a shorter 12-month contract option instead of being tied down for 24 months.
