Why choose Brsk?

Wi-Fi 7 router included

Every package comes with a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard. This is distinctive in a market where most providers still supply older Wi-Fi 6 hardware.

Standard 12-month contracts

You only need to commit for 12 months across the entire range. This is rare when 24-month terms dominate the UK broadband market.

No mid-contract price rises

Your monthly cost is fixed for the full duration of your term. This is a distinctive commitment, especially among providers capable of delivering multi-gigabit speeds.

Free installation on all tiers

The provider does not charge an upfront setup fee to get you connected. While fairly common among alternative networks, it remains a helpful saving.

Independent full-fibre network

The service runs on an owned network independent of Openreach, capable of speeds up to 2Gbps. This gives you a genuine infrastructure alternative if you live within the coverage area.

Founded in 2020 by Giorgio Iovino and Ian Kock, Brsk is headquartered in Tewkesbury and operates its own full-fibre network independent of Openreach. The company focuses its footprint on specific areas of West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the West Midlands. Following a June 2024 merger with Netomnia, Brsk is now part of the YouFibre group, forming the UK’s second-largest alternative fibre network and expanding its overall rollout target to three million premises.

What sets Brsk apart from much of the market is its approach to hardware and contract terms. The company includes a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard across every package, providing better device handling on fast connections. You also get a straightforward 12-month contract as standard rather than the usual 24 months seen elsewhere. The provider operates its own full-fibre infrastructure to deliver speeds up to 2Gbps, coupled with free installation across the entire range.

Coverage is strictly postcode-dependent and limited to its regional build areas, so availability will be the main hurdle for most households. Brsk isn’t a household name and doesn’t offer the cheapest entry-level prices, but it provides a strong alternative for those within its active network zones who want to move away from the major incumbents.

Brsk package types

BetterNet150

This 150Mbps tier sits comfortably in the middle of the everyday speed range and suits households of three or more people. It provides enough capacity for high-definition streaming on multiple devices simultaneously and handles working from home with ease. For the vast majority of homes, this is the most realistic and practical option.

BetterNet1000

Stepping up to 900Mbps gives you plenty of headroom for households of four or more with multiple simultaneous streamers and gamers. This tier suits homes with multiple gamers downloading large game files alongside heavy 4K streaming. The included Wi-Fi 7 router becomes genuinely relevant here to push these speeds across compatible devices.

BetterNet2000

This multi-gig 2Gbps tier is built for specific heavy use cases rather than just large households. Gamers can download titles exceeding 100GB in minutes rather than hours, while content creators benefit from the extra bandwidth for large file uploads. You will notice the benefit most clearly on wired connections and with modern Wi-Fi 7 hardware. Keep in mind there is a significant gap in the provider range, with no mid-tier option available between the 150Mbps and 900Mbps packages.

Brsk positions itself in the mid-range for headline pricing, but the overall value is strong once you factor in the shorter contract and bundled hardware. The Brsk BetterNet150 package at 150Mbps currently starts at £24.99 a month. While you can find cheaper entry-level deals elsewhere, Brsk includes a Wi-Fi 7 router and free installation stated as being worth £150. You will not find cashback incentives, reward cards or introductory discount periods here.

The provider keeps its terms simple by offering 12-month contracts across all three of its main packages. Importantly, Brsk promises no mid-contract price rises. The monthly rate you agree to on day one is the exact amount you will pay for the full 12 months of your term, giving you certainty over your bills without the worry of unexpected increases.

Brsk pros and cons

Pros

  • No mid-contract price rises and every deal runs for just 12 months, which is one of the best commitment and pricing combinations around
  • Trustpilot rating of 4.6 is well above average for a provider still growing its footprint
  • WiFi 7 router included as standard on every package, so you are getting current generation hardware from the start
  • Speeds reach up to 2Gbps with free installation across the range, keeping upfront and ongoing costs straightforward
  • 100% full fibre with its own dedicated network shared with YouFibre, independent from Openreach

Cons

  • Only available where Brsk or YouFibre have built their network, so coverage is limited and postcode dependent
  • Just three packages in the range, so there is no mid-tier option if you want something between 150Mbps and 900Mbps

How Brsk compares

Brsk vs BT. Brsk offers higher top speeds of 2Gbps compared to 900Mbps from BT, and provides a shorter 12-month contract rather than 24 months. While Brsk starts at £24.99 for 150Mbps, BT is cheaper at entry level but applies fixed pounds-and-pence price rises typically every March. BT frequently offers reward cards on most tiers, whereas Brsk focuses on fixed pricing and no mid-contract rises.

Brsk vs Gigaclear. Both providers run their own independent full-fibre networks in different regional footprints, but Brsk reaches top speeds of 2Gbps against 830Mbps from Gigaclear. Gigaclear is cheaper at entry level compared to the £24.99 Brsk charges for 150Mbps, though Gigaclear contracts span 18 months and state prices could change. Brsk locks the price for a full 12-month term.

Brsk vs Airband. Airband mixes fixed wireless and full fibre, while Brsk is entirely full fibre with faster top speeds of 2Gbps compared to Airband’s 900Mbps. Airband is cheaper at entry level and includes a gift card on a 24-month deal, whereas the Brsk BetterNet150 package starts at £24.99 for 150Mbps on a 12-month term. Both providers commit to no mid-contract price rises, but Brsk bundles a newer Wi-Fi 7 router instead of Wi-Fi 6 mesh.
