Founded in 2020 by Giorgio Iovino and Ian Kock, Brsk is headquartered in Tewkesbury and operates its own full-fibre network independent of Openreach. The company focuses its footprint on specific areas of West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the West Midlands. Following a June 2024 merger with Netomnia, Brsk is now part of the YouFibre group, forming the UK’s second-largest alternative fibre network and expanding its overall rollout target to three million premises.
What sets Brsk apart from much of the market is its approach to hardware and contract terms. The company includes a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard across every package, providing better device handling on fast connections. You also get a straightforward 12-month contract as standard rather than the usual 24 months seen elsewhere. The provider operates its own full-fibre infrastructure to deliver speeds up to 2Gbps, coupled with free installation across the entire range.
Coverage is strictly postcode-dependent and limited to its regional build areas, so availability will be the main hurdle for most households. Brsk isn’t a household name and doesn’t offer the cheapest entry-level prices, but it provides a strong alternative for those within its active network zones who want to move away from the major incumbents.
